Finding the physical book
If the book is on Reserves, come to the library help desk and ask for it by the title of the book. You will need your student ID and you can check it out for 2 hours.
If the book is in the Main Stacks, you will need to find the book by its call number.
Once you know the call number of a book, you can find it by browsing the stacks.
Can't find the book you want?
Options to help you access print books:
- Vancouver Public Library: It's often worth checking if the public library has a copy of the book you need.
- Community borrower cards: Vancouver students may consider a community borrower card from UBC or SFU.
- Suggest a purchase: Suggestions for new library acquisitions are welcomed. Please e-mail email@example.com to recommend a purchase.
**At this time, the Vancouver Campus is not able to request print books through interlibrary loan. You can, however, request single book chapters or articles. To do that, log in to your ILLiad account.**
Be sure to ask the librarian for help finding other resources on your topic.
