The Common Book Program
In 2010, Adler University launched the Common Book Program to foster community by creating opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to come together and discuss issues related to social justice and social responsibility while enjoying a good book.
Each year, Adler University's Common Book Committee chooses a book for the community to read and discuss together. The Committee is made up of students, faculty, and staff on all three campuses and selects a work from titles nominated by the entire community. Chosen titles deal with issues of social justice and social responsibility that will appeal to the Adler community across all campuses and has relevance to the University's curriculum.
Programming around the Common Book includes book discussions, field trips, hands-on activities, and visits from the authors.
