In 2020, Adler’s Black community presented the University with the Black Community Demands and Expectations document. This document included an expectation for the University to designate additional funds for the purchase of Black-specific library resources. The Library used those funds to purchase the books presented in this guide, and received additional funds to continue adding to this collection in 2021-22 and 2022-23. The collection also includes titles that were already owned by the Library and fit this collection's scope. The most recent additions to the collection can be found in the New Arrivals box below.
