The Social Justice Resource Guide is a list of resources developed by the Vancouver Library and the Social Justice Practicum (SJP). These resources are meant to be a starting point for delving into social justice topics, curated by SJP students and the Vancouver Librarian.
While scholarly journal articles are provided in separate library guides, the information included in the SJRG is intentionally centered around more personal and creative materials, such as lived experience narratives, biographies, fictional stories, and other expressive works.
By incorporating storytelling and artistic forms, the SJRG provides an alternative lens that complements academic research, offering a more holistic understanding of social justice issues and their real-life impact on individuals and communities, particularly those within vulnerable sectors. These resources are meant to engage, inspire, and challenge readers in gripping and creative ways.
