Interlibrary Loan: ILLiad

If a dissertation is not available through Adler or an I-Share library, request the item through ILLiad to be picked up at the Mosak Library in Chicago. 

Please note: The Adler University Library does not request books through ILLiad that are owned by Adler or by any of the I-Share libraries, even when these books are unavailable through Adler or I-Share due to being checked out, on reserve, or otherwise unavailable. This policy allows us to spend our resources on helping our patrons secure materials through ILLiad that are not owned at Adler or in the I-Share consortium, including dissertations.

The Adler University Library will consider purchasing books requested through ILLiad that are not already owned by Adler or by  I-Share libraries when they meet the criteria in our collection development policy and when funds are available.  The decision to purchase or request titles is made at the discretion of the Adler University Library in keeping with our collection policy.

Renewals are granted at the discretion of the lending library. Renewals should be requested BEFORE the due date indicated on the loan slip.

• Log into your ILLiad account
• Under View on the left sidebar, click "Checked out items".

• Click on the transaction number of the item that you want to renew (you can find the transaction number on the loan slip of the book next to the barcode).
• Click the Renew button on the top of the screen
  • **Note: If the Renewal button is not available, then the lending library has not allowed renewals. Renewal is allowed a week before the due date.
• The system will issue a TEMPORARY due date. Please check the renewal status and the new due date after 3 days. You will receive courtesy notices until the lending library approves the renewal and issues a new date.
