Tip:

  • Publisher name (Andrews McMeel Publishing) end of the citation. 

Note: Title of the book is Inside the brain: Revolutionary discoveries of how the mind works.

Book Chapter Citation

Author, A. (Year). Title of Chapter. In A.A. Editor (Ed.). Title of Book. Publisher. (Edition #, pp. Page Range).

Example:

Pedersen, P. (1982). The intercultural context of counseling and therapy. In A.J. Marsella & G.M. White (Eds.). Cultural Conceptions of Mental Health and Therapy. D. Reidel Publishing Company, (pp. 333-358).

Tips:

  • Like a book, the chapter lists the publishing company. 
  • Chapters list the author(s) and if it's an edited work, the editors so if you see (Eds.), you know it's a book chapter
  • Chapters list the title of the chapter without italics and the title of the book in italics
