There are many ways to quantify interactions with scholarly research publications.
Measuring scholarly impact is NOT a perfect science--and there are many who argue against its implications.
No one platform can give you the one number that tracks all areas of your impact.
The first section of this guide looks at three traditional metrics used to measure scholarly impact:
- Article-level metrics
- Author-level metrics
- Journal metrics
And, a non-traditional measure of impact:
- Altmetrics
The second section of this guide looks at ways to improve & broaden the impact of one's scholarship.
