Grad Assistant Training - Chicago Campus: Home

Learn about the mission/values of the library, as well as how to create permanent links to articles

Welcome!

As a graduate assistant, you might be doing research for your professor. Please look around this and other guides to learn a bit more about the library.

The Research Process Guide will help you learn a bit about using the library's databases for research, which will help you both in your classes and in your T.A. work.

If you are unable to find certain articles or books in the library, learn how to make use of InterLibrary Loan (ILL).

Please see the RefWorks Guide for tutorials on using this citation management platform.

Checking out materials for your professor

You may check out materials on behalf of their professor.

**First, your professor must approve this either in writing or by speaking to a librarian.**

Then, when you check out materials, let us know you are doing so on behalf of your professor. We will scan your ID, which will connect to your professor's account and charge the materials to him/her.
