Graduate Preparatory Program: Library Accounts

Which account?

The Library has many accounts, which all require logins. We recognize this can be confusing, so this page describes some of the primary logins you will encounter:

  • Accessing databases and E-books from off-campus
  • Catalog
  • ILLiad

It should be noted that individual databases like PsycINFO or Academic Search Complete also allow users to create accounts for saving and rerunning searches. For more information, please contact the librarian at adoyle@adler.edu.

Databases, journals and e-books from off-campus

  • Your username is your first initial and full last name. (eg. Jane Smtih's username would be jsmith)
  • Your password is either your Adler ID# without any initial zeros or  AU* + your birthday in mmddyy format, i.e., if your birthday is Jan 15, 1986, your password will be: AU*011586.
  • You will receive your Adler ID number after completing all of your onboarding paperwork and you will get an email when your library account is active.
  • If you are unable to log-in, email library@adler.edu

ILLiad

  • Go to https://adler.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html
  • Even if you have an ILLiad account through a previous school, sign up for a new account
    • You can choose a username
    • ID number is your Employee ID number
    • You can choose a password
  • Allows you to request materials from a library nationally or even internationally
  • For more information, see the Interlibrary Loan guide.

  • See if you have fines
  • Request I-Share books (Illinois only)

How do I log into my account?
