Learn to find and access books for Chicago, Vancouver, and Online campuses

E-books in the catalog

Adler University Library owns over 250,000 e-book titles that you can read online or download.

  • Search using the "Everything at Adler" or "Adler Catalog". Search for books on your topic, then narrow your search by selecting Books, then Electronic. 

Type your search into the search box & press Enter. Next, you can limit your results to "Available online" and "Books" (under Resource Type). Be sure to click Apply Filters.

Number of copies

While we have some ebooks in single copy, others we have multiple or even unlimited copies. You can see how many copies we have - see below for the different ways to determine this.

For Ebook Central books, when you open the book, it shows Availability at the top:  in this case, unlimited access.  It might say you have access to 1 copy, 3 copies, or multiple.  

For EBSCO ebooks, once you open the book (i.e. Wherever you go, there you are), you have to scroll down a bit to see the concurrent user level:

For SpringerLink, PsycBOOKS, Taylor & Francis, they don’t indicate the number of users; they will just show links to the individual chapter pdf’s, but the vast majority are unlimited.
