Canadian Copyright

All Canadian Adler University students are required to submit a copy of their thesis or dissertation for publication in Theses Canada. You are personally responsible for ensuring that your thesis complies with the Canadian Copyright Act by obtaining copyright permission to use third-party material such as figures, maps, diagrams, photographs, and long quotations in your thesis. By submitting your thesis for publication you are confirming that you have obtained any necessary copyright permissions.

Please read the Copyright Information guide below for more information.

Final Steps

1. When you have no more format corrections to make to your thesis or dissertation, you'll get an email from your format reviewer letting you know the process is complete. Depending on your program,  you will receive a separate email from administrative staff with instructions for uploading your work to ProQuest.

2. Send a PDF of your final thesis/dissertation to vanlibrary@adler.edu with a signed copy of the Non-Exclusive Licence form (see below) for your thesis or dissertation to be submitted to Theses Canada.

3. After you've uploaded your thesis or dissertation, ProQuest will send an auto-alert to administrative staff that the work has been uploaded.

4. Administrative staff will notify your chair and request final approval that the correct version of your work was added to ProQuest.  You will be copied on this communication.

5. When your chair gives final approval,  your chair will notify the registrar to begin that process.  You will be copied on this communication.
