Adler Asian Home

The purpose of the Adler Asian Home (AAH) is to promote and expand the interest, appreciation, respect, warmth, and incorporation of Asian culture into Adler University and the Chicagoland area. Our goal is to reduce the gap in awareness of cultural norms between and among the Asian, Asian-American, and American communities. We work towards allyship advocacy and activism for Asian and Asian-American issues, community engagement against negative stereotypes, and advocacy against discrimination.

AAPA - The Asian American Psychological Association The Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA) was founded in December 1972 by a group of Asian American psychologists and other mental health professionals in the San Fancisco Bay Area. Since its inception, the Association advocated on behalf of Asian Americans as well as advancing Asian American psychology. Throughout its history, AAPA has published journals and newsletters focused on the education and training of Asian American psychologists, Asian-American psychological topics, and methods of improving mental health services for Asian Americans. The Association leads and guides other professional organizations on Asian American psychology and is in the forefront of the multicultural psychology movement.

Asian Psychology Section, Canadian Psychology Association The mission of the Asian Psychology Section is to strengthen the work of mental health professionals, researchers, and students to increase cultural responsivity and enhance the collective well-being of Asians in Canada.
Association for Multicultural Counseling & Development The Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development seeks to develop programs specifically to improve ethnic and racial empathy and understanding. Its activities are designed to advance and sustain personal growth and improve educational opportunities for members from diverse cultural backgrounds.
