Adler Society of Sexology

The Adler Society for Sexology is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of sexuality and communicating scientifically-based sexuality research and scholarship to students, professionals, the greater community of academia, and the general public. It is committed to a scholarly and scientific approach of inquiring and disseminating accurate knowledge of sexuality, thereby aiding in more diverse, socially-just, competent, and empirically-based therapeutic practice.

Association of Counseling Sexology and Sexual Wellness The mission of ACSSW is to promote sexuality as a central aspect of being human that includes the intersection of interpersonal and intrapersonal influences on sexual expression and identities inclusive of age, race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender and gender expression, physical and mental health and abilities, and socioeconomic status.
Queer and Trans Advocacy Network (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy) Welcome to the Queer and Trans Advocacy Network! Section on Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity The Section on Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity shall seek to advance the contribution of psychology in understanding sexual orientation and gender diversity, to educate psychologists and the general public in matters of sexual orientation and gender diversity, and to advocate for the provision of ethical and informed psychological services to those dealing with sexual orientation and gender diversity.
Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, Canadian Psychological Association SOGII (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Issues) is a section of the Canadian Psychological Association whose primary purpose is to advance knowledge and understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, heterosexual and queer issues in psychology and allied disciplines. Topics that fall within the remit of this Section include: sexual identities and practices, trans/gender identities and practices, relationships, families, LGBTQ studies, queer theory, counseling/psychotherapy that promotes health sexualities and genders, attitudes, prejudice and discrimination, health, body image, media, violence, intergroup relations, the intersection of sexualities, gender identities and other important demographic characteristics/lines of power (e.g. class, disability, race/ethnicity, age, religion).
Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity (Div. 44 of APA) ociety for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity provides a culture of support for its members looking for a professional home within the field of psychology. We seek to advance the contributions of psychology as a discipline to the understanding of sexual orientation and gender diversity through basic and applied research; To promote the development and delivery of affirmative psychological services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender and gender nonconforming and queer people; To promote education and training on sexual orientation and gender diversity across contexts and audiences; To use psychological knowledge to advocate for the advancement of social justice, public interest and the welfare of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender and gender nonconforming and queer people; To inform the general public about research, practice, education and training and advocacy efforts related to sexual orientation and gender diversity.
Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE) The mission of SAIGE includes the recognition of both individual and social contexts presenting the confluence of race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, ability, age, spiritual or religious belief system, and indigenous heritage.
