The library works with Adler instructors to provide equitable and free access to required courses texts online and at the the library. Each semester, instructors provide the library with the list of books required for their courses and the library purchases electronic or physical copies of the texts to make available.
Providing library-licensed, library purchased, or open access materials ensures equitable access to educational materials and eases students’ financial burdens.
Course reserves materials can be found in the online catalog. Print materials can be checked out at in the library.
Search for course reserve materials in the library catalog. Use the dropdown menu to select "Course Reserves" in the search input box to limit your search to items on course reserve.

Course reserve materials are charged out for use in the building only. The reserve loan period is two hours for students and faculty (or close of business, whichever is sooner). If no one is waiting for the item, renewal is an option. Patrons should be mindful to return reserve materials in a timely way to respect the needs of other students.
Reserve materials are due back to the Library Service Desk by closing on the day they were charged. Reserve materials kept past closing of the day they were charged incur a fee of $40. Items that are not returned on time will automatically be considered lost and replacement fees will be applied.
Individual users who wish to make photocopies of copyrighted reserve materials for personal use are responsible for complying with fair use provisions and/or all notices and warnings posted on reproduction equipment (i.e., copiers, printers, etc.) concerning copyright compliance. Posted notices read as follows:
NOTICE WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Libraries and archives furnish unsupervised photocopy or other reproduction equipment for the convenience of and use by patrons. Under 17 U.S.C. § 108(f)(2) the provision of unsupervised photocopy or reproduction equipment for use by patrons does not excuse the person who uses the reproduction equipment from liability for copyright infringement for any such act, or for any later use of such copy or phonorecord, if it exceeds fair use as provided by section 107 or any other provision of the copyright law. This institution reserves the right to refuse to make available or provide access to photocopy or other reproduction equipment if, in its judgment, use of such equipment would involve violation of copyright law.
