Join us to hear from Uli Egger of the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF), a BC organization that focuses on accessibility in built environments. In October 2018, the Vancouver Campus received an accessibility assessment through the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) program, achieving RHF Accessibility Certified.

Dr. Anjali Forber-Pratt is a disability activist, former university faculty member, and the current Director of Research at the American Association on Health & Disability and previously served as the Director of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living & Rehabilitation Research. Dr.Forber-Pratt competed in the 2008 and 2012 Paralympics in wheelchair racing.

Emily Ladau, author of Demystifying Disability: What to Know, What to Say, How to be an Ally will be in conversation with Christena Gunther, of Adler’s Chicago Student Affairs office and founder of a disability advocacy organization. They will discuss ableism, how to talk about disability, the intersection of disability and other identities, and disability in the mental health field.

Adler alum Rahnee Patrick is the Director of the Illinois Division of Rehabilitation Services and leads the agency in its mission to provide disabled Illinois residents assistance in reaching their education and employment goals. She'll speak to Adler about her work and the topic of inclusion in the workforce and in higher education.
